Overly simplistic website designs are popular. This style can be perfect but it can also go wrong if executed improperly. With this specific design, there are aspects that I love and others.... Not so much.

Proper spacing (padding/margin) is one of the most important aspects of a website's design. This design's spacing is all over the place. I feel like the content of the header and footer is pushed too close to the edge. The footer just has a huge blank gap in the middle. The main content area just has inconstant spacing. Personally, I like precise spacing in my JQ Masonry.

The overall simplistic design is executed well. I like the logo, icons, and colours. Just work on your spacing.
